Mr. Book just finished Lies Upon Lies: God, Authority, And How Your Faith Is Used To Control You, by Daniel Warren.

This book is about how religion controls and manipulates both individuals and societies. Among the best parts of the book was the discussion on the creation of the King James Bible and how Christianity and Islam spread through violence, conquer and the theft of land rather than the quality of their arguments.

I give this book a B+. Goodreads requires grades on a 1-5 star system. In my personal conversion system, a B+ equates to 4 stars. (A or A+: 5 stars, B+: 4 stars, B: 3 stars, C: 2 stars, D or F: 1 star).
